 Well known for superbands Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, and the ground-breaking John Mayall “Blues Breakers” album, Eric Clapton, Grammy Award winning guitarist, singer and composer, is one of the most respected and influential musicians of the rock-era.
Credited as an innovator in Blues-Rock, Hard Rock, Delta Blues, Rock, Pop and Reggae, Clapton is widely considered to be one of the most influential guitarists in music history today.
Australian group Claptonesque produces a high energy show of Classic Clapton hits in a fantastic concert atmosphere, performed by a dedicated 7 piece band of local music identities and Clapton enthusiasts headed by Melbourne based bluesman and songwriter Dave McFarlane.
Featuring the powerful guitar solos of Cream ‘Crossroads’ and Derek and the Dominos ‘Layla’ to tasteful unplugged acoustic gems such as ‘Tears In Heaven’ and ‘Running On Faith’ with rich vocal harmonies, Claptonesque is an exciting and mature showcase of more than three decades of rock guitar history with appeal across all ages.
